Well, there was no school on monday, so we decided to embark on our secret mission!

So Shirley, Sarah and Andy came over to my house in the afternoon, and we started playing around with the green mash of soft clay we bought. Hmm... figuring out how to get that mess into a frog isn't a very easy task... but somehow, we managed to do it! =x

Although it really didn't look like frogs at the beginning, it turned out rather nice after adding the eyes. It's quite adorable, at least, in our eyes... haha...

Apparently, while the rest of us girls were busy trying to make the frogs like a factory line of production, Andy was there playing with whatever clay we had left to make his alien frogs. LOL... and here is what he came up with...

Ok, next up, we have wednesday! Well, we were supposed to be running our samples after school, but somehow we ended up at the concourse... there was a blood donation drive going on! So Shirley and Sarah went to try donating...

Apparently, Sarah couldn't donate again because her haemoglobin level was still too low! The drop of blood, like the 2 previous times, traveled down about 1/3rd through the solution, and floated back up... So once again, she was given a packet of iron tablets to bring home. haha... She's such a regular 'donor', that even the doctor could recognise her... =x

So we're left with Shirley as the successful candidate... The previous time she tried donating, her temperature was too high that they didn't allow her to donate... This time, she was able to pass, so on we went to wait for her turn to arrive.

Obviously when her turn came, she was rather nervous... (when faced with an 18-gauge needle, who wouldn't?) and then the woman came, and attempted to take her cephalic... Shirley wasn't very comfortable with that, so she told her that her cephalic was runny.... but who knows, that woman went on to take her basilic instead! How wonderful... =x

and somehow, we can't seem to communicate with that woman - we can't understand a single word that's coming out of her mouth! So in the end we just let her have her way...

It started off ok, but then towards the end, Shirley began to feel faint... and when she told that woman, she started to panick and stumbled a bit while taking off that super big needle... Hmm, so Shirley ended up with a rather big bruise the next day. Once-in-a-lifetime experience - once is enough... =p

(but she said she would never attempt it again)
