Steamboat @ My House - 2/3/09

On Monday, we had a steamboat with the entire clique (including William, and excluding Johnny). This would probably be our very last and final steamboat at my house here at Da Silva Lane! That is what we all thought at that time... Well, things are probably a tad different now. =x

So the day began at noon... Went to Kovan for lunch with my dad, then Jeremy joined us (being the earliest). After which, Wayne came along too and so we managed to hitch a ride in (don't have to walk the long long way).

Afterwards the rest slowly came in, when it was supposed to be 12.30 pm for mahjong. So after Shirley joined us shortly later, we started on our mahjong session! Then Fiona and Nicholas came in with their KFC lunch at around 2? 

While they were eating and looking at us play, I've already been tempting Nicholas with the question, "Do you want to play?" after finishing each round. LOL... So when he finished his meal, I let him take over my place.

He was winning quite a bit of money, with Fiona sitting next to him, sighing and huh-ing at each round in bewilderment. hahahah... =x The only fun part that Fiona (or to her at least) really enjoyed was when someone wins the game, because that's when she can put her hand in and 洗牌 with the rest of them... =p

Then Sarah came along at 3+, coming and heading straight for my TV... She was holding on to the remote control and switching from channel to channel whenever it is commercial time or when she hates the sight of a certain female actress in the show... -_-lll

Just slightly pass 4, they finished up the round of mahjong, with Nicholas being the big winner of them all... and he shared his winnings with me! hahaha... Fiona stuffed the money to me like, a few days after, cos she was saying if not she'll get scolded by Nicholas. =x

So we walked all the way to NTUC after that, which was indeed quite a distance away from my house. Got the stuff we needed, plus some mini poppers too - for dessert. And then back again to my house. Well, on the way there was this weird indian guy that Fiona was frightened by, and that mad woman Shirley even went to answer his questions... -_-lll

By the time we were hurrying to reach the other side of the road, it looks as though it was going to rain soon. When we were halfway through, there were a few lightning flashes up across in the sky, and Sarah and Shirley practically were screaming away when they saw that.

In the end, we managed to arrive safely and unscathed at my house, and we're headed to the kitchen to start preparing... 

The ones who were in the kitchen most of the time were obviously, Fiona, Jeremy, Sarah, Shirley and me... The other girl was sitting in front of my TV together with all the guys and watching some TV programme... LOL. Ok, she did come in and help peel the potatoes after that. 

Though I really got to admit, I couldn't do anything much around in the kitchen, except some here and there, and somehow Fiona always came to take over from everything I was doing, because she said I looked scary with a knife... hahaaha! =x

At last, we threw in some of the stuff to cook as the soup base first, and the ingredients started to get laid out, and it all looks quite appetizing! =)

And... Let's get started! =D

After the dinner and having much problems trying to clear the heaps and heaps of remaining food (which ended up somehow as my lunch and dinner for the subsequent 2 days)... Then we proceeded with some mahjong and crapping and TV. 

Finally at 10, a few of us went to the back and got around to get the cake out! It was something that Jeremy and I have been talking about the past few nights, about getting a cake to celebrate erm, several birthdays at the same time. 

That day was a day after Fiona's birthday, and Wayne's 21st was coming up soon too... Then since that was the case, we decided to do a celebration for Johnny and Jeremy too, since we were busy with reports, new year and exams at that time... A pity Johnny couldn't make it though, so we ended up with these 3 main stars of the night...

And then Shirley started on a camera spree! So my camera was filled with dear Shirley...

Then of course, there was the card which I've been waiting for for AGES... It was like, erm, 5 months past my birthday?! Almost half a year! *ehem*

But well, I got it on that day, and I really love it lots... My big big card that I've requested. =)

Except, it's now got a missing space there to be filled... Cos Johnny wasn't there to sign it for me. =(
